In 2021, JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" successfully held 106 auctions for the sale of scrap metal in the electronic trading system "Prozorro. Sales", selling 203.4 thousand tons of scrap for the amount of UAH 1.704 billion.
The indicated amount is 13.7% more than the starting price of auctions and 2.8 times more than the amount of scrap metal sales in 2020.
In addition, according to the financial plan of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for 2022, it is planned to sell scrap metal for a total of UAH 1.5 billion.
Recall that Ukrzaliznytsia JSC received UAH 457.5 million of net profit in 2021 against almost UAH 12 billion of net loss in 2020.
