Turkish Petroleum used Ukrainian pipes for the first time for a well 3 km deep

Turkish Oil and Gas Corporation Turkish Petroleum (TPAO) has successfully completed the running of Ukrainian Interpipe pipes into a 3,000-meter-deep oil well at the North Arikaya field in the southeastern province of Batman.

The pipes are equipped with a premium connection UPJ-F with a diameter of 139.7 mm. UPJ-F is a premium sleeveless connection developed by the Interpipe R&D center designed for hydrocarbon production in difficult geological conditions. The products guarantee a high level of gas tightness during well construction.

“Turkish Petroleum has used our pipes with UPJ-F premium connection for the first time. Interpipe specialists accompanied the descent process and provided the client with the necessary advisory assistance. Turkey, as part of its energy independence strategy, is developing new gas onshore and offshore fields, so we hope that in the near future the number of such orders will increase,” commented Andrey Burtsev, director of pipe sales to the markets of BSIA, Europe and Ukraine.
