Among other production units, after depreservation at the Zaporizhstal plant, the air distribution unit No. 60 in the oxygen compressor shop was put into operation. She is responsible for the production of oxygen for technological processes and medical needs.

On April 12, the Zaporizhstal plant resumed the shipment of oxygen to hospitals and already donated 20 tons of certified medical oxygen to medical institutions in Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk region free of charge.

“Exactly one year has passed since Zaporizhstal received a license to produce oxygen for medical purposes. During this time, we have shipped more than 5,000 tons of oxygen to save people's lives throughout Ukraine. As before, today Zaporizhstal transfers it to hospitals free of charge,” said Alexander Mironenko, General Director of Zaporizhstal of Metinvest Group.

Recall that in April 2021, Zaporizhstal of Metinvest Group received a registration certificate from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for the production of liquid oxygen for use as a medical drug. From that moment, the plant began to transfer oxygen to medical institutions in Ukraine free of charge.
