Zaporizhstal's range of hot-rolled steel has been replenished with three types of rolled products and three types of flats, which were previously produced at Metinvest's Mariupol enterprises. In particular, Zaporizhstal began to produce hot-rolled sheet with a thickness of 8 mm to 120 mm. Atypical products for the 1680 mill are essential for domestic enterprises producing building metal structures.
Zaporozhstal metallurgists also mastered the technology for the production of two types of cold-rolled coil. The first one is a double-mass roll 1.5-2.0 x 1370-1500 mm in size without a weld, which is in demand in construction and engineering. The second is rolled steel with a size of 0.5-0.6 x 1250 mm, intended for the subsequent application of a zinc coating. Such coils are needed by enterprises producing coated rolled products, corrugated board, light steel thin-walled structures and other products using cold profiling.
In 2022, almost 10,000 tons of the new range of products were shipped to key customers of the enterprise. Zaporizhstal products meet the high requirements of international quality standards and will continue to be used in the construction industry, mechanical engineering, the pipe industry and the domestic sector.
In total, the metallurgical enterprises of the Metinvest group in Ukraine in 2022 began to produce 24 new types products. Most of the new products have been mastered in the segment of long, hot-rolled coil and sheet products and steel semi-finished products. New positions have also appeared in the categories of cold-rolled and plate products.
