Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant (DMZ, Dnipro) of the DCH group of Alexander Yaroslavsky produced 29.4 thousand tons of finished metal products in January-March 2023. In the first quarter of 2022, DMZ did not produce metal products due to a shortage of coal raw materials and hostilities.
Coke production in January-March 2023 decreased by 20.4% compared to the same period last year, to 45 .8 thousand tons.
In March, DMZ produced 10.6 thousand tons of rolled metal and 16 thousand tons of coke, which is 16.1% more than in March 2022.
The blast furnace and converter shops of the Dnipro Metallurgical Plant have been idle since January 2022. The plant resumed production of rolled products in April last year, both rolling shops operate on tolling billets.
In 2022 and the first quarter of 2023, DMZ rolling shops produced a wide range of channel bars, shaft rack SVP-22, SVP-27 and SVP-33, mine rails R34 and R43, crane rails of various sizes.
In 2022, the coking division of the enterprise switched exclusively to domestic coal feedstock and produces products mainly for ferroalloy plants in Ukraine. In addition, in March 2023, the by-product coke division resumed the production of metallurgical coke.
In 2022, DMZ reduced the production of rolled products compared to 2021 by 74,2%, to 58.4 thousand tons, coke - by 56.3%, up to 211.3 thousand tons.
Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant is a full-cycle metallurgical enterprise, one of the largest industrial enterprises in Ukraine. On March 1, 2018, DCH Group signed an agreement on the purchase of the Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant from Evraz.
DMZ produces long, shaped steel, beams, rails, special profiles for mechanical engineering, agriculture, coal and mining and processing industries.
Before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, a significant part of the plant's products was exported to more than 40 countries around the world. DMZ has a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001:2015.
