11 initiatives of citizens became winners of the ECOGOROD project from ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih

Almost fifty initiatives from Kryvyi Rih competed for the victory in ECOGOROD. The best ones were determined based on the results of online voting and defense in front of experts - representatives of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, city authorities, the public and the media.

Now, thanks to the allocated grants from the enterprise in Kryvyi Rih, eleven initiatives are being implemented (the costs for each do not exceed UAH 100 thousand). For example, on the embankment of the park. B. Khmelnitsky will appear sakura alley, in the park. Egorova will plant fruit trees in memory of the fallen soldiers, an environmental festival and an educational project on green energy are planned. In addition, within the framework of the project, several adjoining territories in various districts of the city will be landscaped, the road surface for the private sector will be restored, etc.

With the direct participation of the authors, some of the initiatives will be implemented this year, the rest - until the fall of 2020

- For our company, the implementation of such a large-scale social and environmental project with a million-dollar budget is a new experience. Participation in "ECOGOROD" was as transparent and accessible as possible for every citizen of the city. We were pleasantly surprised how many interesting initiatives came from the residents of Kryvyi Rih, how reasonably they spoke to the experts, how they fought for victory. We would like to thank all the participants for their desire to make their home, courtyard, street and, in general, our city cleaner and more comfortable. In turn, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is always happy to support useful initiatives of residents.
