The General Director of CJSC "Armenian Nuclear Power Plant" Movses Vardanyan sent a letter expressing gratitude to the General Director of AT "Turboatom" Viktor Subbotin for the complex of work performed to modernize the turbine unit K-220-44-1 at the NPP.
In particular, the letter says: “Within the framework of the modernization of the power unit of the Armenian NPP in November 2018 and September 2019, the turbine unit No. 3 and No. 4 of the power unit No. 2 were put into operation. We express our gratitude to you and the entire team of Turboatom JSC for the whole range of work performed on the modernization of the K-220-44-1 turbine unit ".
The Armenian NPP thanked the Turboatom team for the timely and high-quality manufacturing of units, modernization of parts, the ability to quickly and efficiently resolve emerging issues of varying complexity.
In early October of this year, Turboatom fully fulfilled its obligations under the contract for the supply of equipment to the Metsamor (Armenian) NPP, which was concluded in March 2017.
According to the contract, Turboatom modernized two turbines of the K-220-44 type with a nominal capacity of 220 MW each at power unit No. 2 of the nuclear power plant.
The modernization made it possible to obtain an increase in capacity, increase the overhaul period and extend the service life of the turbines of the Armenian NPP.
