The contract for the amount of UAH 300 million today, on February 25, in the workshop of the enterprise No. 73, was signed by the director of the separate subdivision "Atomkomplekt " of the state enterprise "NAEK " Energoatom "Ruslan Zhmudsky and General Director of JSC " Turboatom "Viktor Subbotin ... The signing ceremony was also attended by Deputy General Director of the South Ukrainian NPP Andriy Petruk and General Designer of "Turboatom " Evgeny Levchenko.
According to Viktor Subbotin, the signed agreement is the first contract for the modernization of the flow path of a million-plus turbine in Ukraine. The company already has positive experience in performing similar work for customers outside the country, including at Unit 5 of Kozloduy NPP (Bulgaria).
"We have a whole program ahead of us to modernize the flow path of nuclear power units in Ukraine, both on our turbines and on Russian ones," Viktor Subbotin noted.
Ruslan Zhmudskiy said that the signed agreement is part of the already approved 5-year modernization program.
"The program is designed until 2024, and in the current situation (namely, the lack of funding for the construction of new units), the modernization of existing equipment will give us up to 10% of additional capacity. This is my first time at " Turboatom " and amazed by this production. I would like to express my gratitude to the staff of the enterprise for the work that you are doing, "Ruslan Zhmudsky noted.
According to Andriy Petruk, the South Ukrainian NPP has been using equipment manufactured by "Turboatom " for many years.
"The most important thing for us is the import substitution program, with which " Turboatom "helps us. The modernization, the contract for which has been signed today, will increase the electrical capacity by approximately 100 MW. I would like to note that your products have proven themselves with the best We do not see any competitors for Turboatom all over the world, "Andrey Petruk said.
According to Evgeny Levchenko, the five-year program provides for the modernization of 7 more of the same units: 1 unit at the South-Ukrainian NPP and 6 units at the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
"Our designers have found an outstanding solution on how to minimize the cost of modernization: we are talking about the use of backup rotors at the station. It was this solution that allowed us to significantly reduce the cost of work. The next step is to modernize not our " millionaires ", but turbines produced by Russian "Power Machines ", - said Evgeny Levchenko.
According to Viktor Subbotin, the first modernized rotor will be ready for shipment to the South Ukrainian NPP in early April.
