compared with last year the demand for commercial vehicles, which operates solely on electric, have doubled, and passenger electric vehicles – 42 per cent. According to the Chairman of the Agency gosenergoeffektivnosti Serhiy Savchuk, we must continue to encourage the development of electric transport and relevant infrastructure, as it can contribute to:
- the replacement of imported petroleum products (only in 2018, these imports reached 5.5 billion U.S. dollars, which is 25% higher than in 2017);
- reduction of harmful emissions;
- the environment.

For January-September 2019 in Ukraine was almost 5,5 thousand cars. It's 42% more than in the same period last year.

As you know, the growth of demand for electric cars has contributed to the adoption in late 2015 of the law of Ukraine on the abolition of import duties on electric vehicles. In addition, until 2022 cancelled VAT on import of electric cars.
And this year the Verkhovna Rada adopted the Law of 11.07.2019 No. 2754-VIII to create access to the infrastructure of charging stations for electric vehicles.
