November 1, 2019, held a working meeting on the state of air quality monitoring with representatives of the meteorologist, KSCA, DSNS, Ministry of health, the state ecological inspection, the Central geophysical Observatory and the public.
during the meeting, the representative of the civic organization Center of medical environmental issues and risk assessments Olena Turos reported that in all cities of Ukraine there is excess of concentration of pollutants. "And it depends on the industry, mobile sources of pollution. Everyone needs to know that who is engaged in the air," said Turos.
the Deputy Minister of energy and environmental protection Irina Stavchuk noticed that the Ministry shares the public concern about the state of air quality and the need for quality monitoring equipment to understand what happens to the air in the country and to respond quickly.
"For us it is important the situation with the establishment of air quality monitoring. We want to develop effective and clear plan and quickly implement it. This is a priority, and I ask you to take part in this process. The Ministry are wide open to cooperation with all interested parties," - said the Minister of energy and the environmental protection of Ukraine Alexey Orzhel.
