"Free Internet access should be a basic human right that applies to all around the world (...) It should be the same as the universal right to have access to water, healthcare or education," said Altmaier on Sunday, November 24, according to Reuters.
the Minister noted that the right to free access to the network, in particular to countries with economies in transition and those developing.
"We don't want to build new walls," said Altmaier.
