the Company annually allocates funds for the implementation of large investment projects, as well as for repairs of fixed assets intended for environmental purposes. So, in 2019 in parts of the enterprise performed repair blower fan and the construction of a two-stage gas cleaning (GOU) in the reconstruction of the rotary kiln № 3 of refractory and lime shop. Here, the electrostatic precipitator was replaced with a modern bag filter. To reduce consumption of natural gas includes a heater limestone and modern automation system. The result of this work the emission of dust is reduced to 90%.
Also "ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih" takes care of the environmental component in the implementation of its investment program. Among the major investment projects – the construction of two modern machines continuous casting and modernization of the sintering plant No. 2. In the reconstruction of the second sintering plant was built and put into operation a modern GOU production Denmark – from the tail parts of sintering machines Nos. 3, 4 and from the transshipment nodes to the primary mixing and return sinter. For monitoring real time emissions of pollutants introduced automatic system of ecological monitoring on the go from sintering. Overall, three of the six sintering machines already updated, at the end of last year began the ecological modernization of the fourth to sinter. In the reconstruction, the emission of dust on each of the six sintering machines will be reduced by 250 tons per year.
Also continues the phased reconstruction of the tailings "United" and "Mirolyubovka", the construction of the first phase of the tailings "Central" and water recycling. These objects are used to place the tailings. Created additional usable capacity for storage of tailings without the use of additional land resources.
