"ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" has completed the reconstruction of sinter machine No. 1 of the sintering plant No. 2, beginning on her hot testing. The company continues the implementation of major investment project on the reconstruction of the sintering plant. To date, upgraded for four of the six sintering machines of the shop: №№ 1, 4, 5, 6. Each – with the introduction of a modern system of gas purification, aspiration and automation. The total project cost exceeds $ 180 million.
as a result of reconstruction on the sintering machine № 1, as before on sintering machines №№ 4, 5 and 6, there is a new sweetening gas from the sintering zone. Here installed modern efficient electrostatic precipitator company Ekoplant (Italy). Replaced specialnye truck with the possibility of increasing the layer charge of up to 450 mm, the main nodes of the linear cooler, gas manifold with automatic pulvirenti through the new double flap valves, the arrangement of a conveyor spillage. Also installed a new ignition furnace with modern, energy-efficient ignition system that will be able to significantly reduce the consumption of natural gas. A distinctive feature of the reconstruction of the sintering machine in comparison with the other three was the construction of two new aspiration plants to be used not only on the product but will serve for a number of buildings and structures the entire workshop (the case of sintering and loading hoppers, loading unit sinter preobrazgenskiy the case).
Modernization of sinter machine No. 2 is scheduled for the third or fourth quarters 2020, and sintering machine No. 3 will be shut down for reconstruction by the end of this year. This means that by the beginning of 2021 all existing sintering machine will operate in accordance with environmental standards. As a result of reconstruction of the sintering plant No. 2 dust emissions for each of the six sintering machines will be reduced by 250 tons per year.
