Metallurgical plant "Zaporizhstal" in April 2020 produced 223,3 thousand tons of steel, which is 34.5% less than in April 2019. As reported in the press service of the company, production of main kinds of products fell as a result of stopping for the overhaul of blast furnace № 2 and № 5, and also taking into account portfolio and market conditions.
In April 2020 at "Zaporizhstal" was produced 277,5 thousand tons of iron and 222,2 thousand tons of finished steel that 27.4% and 23.2%, respectively, less than in April last year.
From January to April 2020 metallurgical plant produced 1 403,4 thousand tons of iron (-6,3% yoy), 1 182,9 thousand tons of steel (-13,6% yoy), 1 020,1 thousand tonnes (-12,7% yoy).
Earlier it was reported that in April 2020 metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine was smelted 1,413 million tons of steel, which is 27% less than in April 2019 and 20% less than in March.
