PJSC Energomashspetsstal (Ukraine, Donetsk region, Kramatorsk) continues to work on the manufacture of blanks for the reactor equipment of the Akkuyu NPP. The work is carried out under the constant supervision of the customer's representatives - the Nuclear Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Turkey (ANR).
From January 21 to January 22, 2021, in accordance with the quality plans, 8 blanks of covers for the steam generators of Unit 3 of the Akkuyu NPP (Turkey) were delivered to the customer. The blanks have passed a multi-stage quality check by specialists from the central plant laboratory, the technical control department of PJSC "EMSS" and representatives of the customer, including specialists from the ANR.
During the inspection, the experts checked the results of the ultrasonic examination of the blanks, carried out visual and measuring control of the products, and checked the preservation of the parts. As a result, the products were accepted by the commission without comments, documents were signed confirming the quality of blanks for covers for the steam generators of Unit 3 of the Akkuyu NPP. Accepted products are prepared for shipment to the customer. The next acceptance of products for Turkish NPPs is scheduled for the second half of February 2021.
Let us remind you that in 2020 PJSC Energomashspetsstal successfully passed inspection by the Nuclear Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Turkey (ANR), which renewed the certificate of the manufacturer of blanks for the equipment of the Akkuyu NPP (Turkey). The updated certificate No. TR-IMO-001 was issued by PJSC Energomashspetsstal on December 31, 2020 for a period of five years and is valid from January 11, 2021 to January 11, 2026.
The Akkuyu nuclear power plant is being built in the Republic of Turkey on the Mediterranean coast in Mersin province. The project provides for the construction of four 1200 MW power units each. The design life of the Akkuyu NPP is 60 years with the possibility of extension.
