The international vertically integrated pipe-and-wheel company "Interpipe" plans to build a new line for heat treatment of pipes at the facilities of Interpipe LLC Nikopolsky Seamless Pipe Plant "Niko Tube" with the aim of producing products in accordance with the standards of the American Petroleum Institute (API) 5CT and API 5L.
According to the documentation at the disposal of the Interfax-Ukraine agency, the Italian company Danieli SC Officine Meccaniche S.P.A. was chosen as the equipment supplier for the line.
The capacity of the heat treatment line for the production of seamless pipes with a diameter of 60-245 mm will amount to 170.275 thousand tons per year.
Interpipe Niko Tube is one of the largest manufacturers of seamless pipes for the oil and gas industry, special-purpose pipes for mechanical engineering and the power industry, as well as general-purpose pipes for other industrial areas.
Interpipe is a Ukrainian industrial company, a manufacturer of seamless pipes and railway wheels. The company's products are supplied to more than 80 countries of the world through a network of sales offices located in the key markets of the CIS, the Middle East, North America and Europe.
Interpipe in 2020 reduced sales of tubular and railway products in tons by 17%. The total sales volume amounted to 662.4 thousand tons. The share of exports in the sales structure was 81%, while the share of the Ukrainian market decreased from 24% to 19%.
