The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has joined the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance. Thanks to participation in the Alliance, the Ministry of Energy will participate in the organization's specialized events and receive the most relevant information on the development of hydrogen energy in the EU countries, the press service of the ministry said.
“The European Commission has identified Ukraine as one of the priority partners in the future hydrogen economy of the European Union. Therefore, membership in the European Pure Hydrogen Alliance will help intensify our work on finding potential partners for the implementation of projects for the production, transportation, storage and consumption of hydrogen. It is important for us to consult with a wide range of countries and companies that develop hydrogen energy. After all, now we are exploring the potential of producing "blue", "green", "yellow" hydrogen. The results of these studies will form the basis of the hydrogen strategy, which will include a plan for the development of all types of hydrogen, including its production, use in Ukraine and export, ”said Yaroslav Demchenkov, Deputy Energy Minister for European Integration.
The European Pure Hydrogen Alliance brings together national and local governments, civil society, business and other stakeholders to implement a new European hydrogen strategy. In particular, we are talking about the discussion of investments in the infrastructure of the hydrogen economy throughout Europe, the volume of which can reach 430 billion euros by 2030.
Already today, the Ministry of Energy will take part in the European Hydrogen Forum, which will be held online on June 17-18, 2021, together with about 1400 other members of the Alliance. We would like to remind that earlier the State Enterprise “NNEGC“ Energoatom ”and the GTS Operator of Ukraine have already joined the European Alliance of Pure Hydrogen.
