A batch of KD90T 17.5 /28 support sections for the largest coal mining company in Turkey - Imbat Madencilik was manufactured by the Corum Group production site - Corum Druzhkovsky Machine Building Plant.

Powered roof support sections KD90T 17.5 /28 have individual solutions and design differences from similar equipment that Corum Group previously produced for mines in Europe and Asia.

“Corum machine builders have developed a special support structure KD90T 17.5 /28. Its “tail” section contains a gate for crushing large blocks of rock mass and an intake console for controlling the release of a collapsing coal pack, - comments Igor Wasserman, sales and support development manager at Corum Group. “This design will make coal mining and the work of miners safe and efficient.”

The sections have successfully passed the factory tests and checked for compliance with the European standard EN 1804. The lining resource is at least 30,000 cycles. The consignment has already been shipped to the customer and is on its way to Turkey.

New equipment from the Ukrainian manufacturer will help Imbat Madencilik extract coal using a special Longwall Top Coal Caving (LTCC) technology, which is used in thick coal seams from 7 to 30 meters, typical of Turkish mines.

“Longwall Top Coal Caving (LTCC) is a caving-assisted coal mining technology. After the harvester cuts off about 2.8 meters of the seam and the support moves behind it, the coal that remains above the support falls onto the backward conveyor behind. As soon as the coal seam ends and the rock begins, a special shutter behind the lining moves out and moves the conveyor, "said Mikhail Lysenko, project manager at Corum Group.

In the world, only a few companies use the LTCC method for coal mining. Therefore, the equipment for equipping such longwalls is always developed individually, taking into account the unique mining and geological conditions of the customer.

“The Turkish market, according to Corum's 2030 strategy, is one of the key areas for our company. The batch of support sections KD90T 17.5 /28 is the first delivery of our equipment to Turkey, - says Oleg Nesterenko, director of the Corum Trading company. - A start. We will develop business relations with our Turkish partners and strengthen our positions. ”

Turkish mining company Imbat Madencilik operates a steam coal mine. Average annual production is about 5.5 million tons per year.
