Today, July 23, 2021, an advance payment from Ukrzaliznytsia was received at the account of the open joint-stock company Kryukovsky Carriage Works (KVSZ). The funds were transferred in accordance with the terms of agreement No. 431/2021-ETU dated June 25, 2021 for the supply of 100 passenger cars.
According to the chairman of the board of JSC "KVSZ" Maksim Kramarenko, this gave a start to the implementation of this important transaction. Since, according to its terms, it is from the day of the first payment that the deadline begins - KVSZ must deliver products in full within a year, until the end of July 2022.
The company says that the terms of the contract are "not velvet": the advance payment is equal to 30% of the contract amount, while these funds will be enough for the company to purchase only 50% of components and materials. Under the terms of the contract, the first batch of cars - 10% of the total number - is planned to be delivered no later than 6 months from the date of receipt of the prepayment.
Nevertheless, the Kryukovsky plant thanked the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky for the fact that the contract for the supply of 100 cars was concluded and began to be implemented.
Recall that for the purpose of renewing the passenger rolling stock in 2021, the State Budget of Ukraine provides for financing the purchase of 100 passenger cars in the amount of more than UAH 3 billion. This number of cars will be purchased at the expense of the state budget for the first time in the history of independent Ukraine.
Within the framework of the agreement, 100 passenger cars will be built, including, in particular: 51 compartment cars, 12 SV cars, 20 compartment cars equipped for the transportation of passengers with disabilities, as well as 17 compartment cars for the transportation of passengers with disabilities in wheelchair and train master's compartment.
