In August, businesses improved their assessments of the economic situation of their enterprises against the background of a favorable external environment, high consumer demand, growth in budget spending on infrastructure development and revitalization of investment activity. This is evidenced by the Business Activity Expectations Index (Iodaya), which the National Bank calculates on a monthly basis.
The Monthly Enterprise Survey was conducted from 5 to 25 August 2021. 322 companies took part in the survey.
Against the background of high expectations for the growth of prices for raw materials and materials, enterprises in all sectors of the economy predict an increase in the price of their products or services. At the same time, construction companies are more restrained in their assessment of the rise in prices for their products and services due to a slowdown in the dynamics of expectations for an increase in the cost of contractors' services.
