As part of a long-term contract, Energomashspetsstal PJSC has manufactured another set of blanks for Units 3 and 4 of the Akkuyu NPP under construction in Turkey. All products have passed quality control and have already been accepted by the customer.
Acceptance inspection of this batch of blanks was held at the site of PJSC "EMSS" from 25 to 28 August 2021. The inspection was attended by inspectors from the Nuclear Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Turkey (ANR, NDK).
The purpose of the inspection was to check the quality and readiness for shipment of a batch of blanks manufactured at EMSS. The acceptance inspection was successful. Akkuyu NPP representatives were satisfied with the quality level of the manufactured products.
In accordance with the quality plans, 16 blanks were delivered to the customer for the production of the main circulation pipeline (MCP), the main circulation pumping unit (MCPA) and the steam generator (PGV) of Units 3 and 4 of Akkuyu NPP. The batch includes pipes of various diameters, body blanks, flanges, branch pipes and other products. The total weight of finished products is 152 tons.
Received items are being prepared for shipment to the customer.
Let us remind you that in 2020 Energomashspetsstal PJSC successfully passed an audit by the Nuclear Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Turkey (ANR), which renewed the certificate of the manufacturer of blanks for the equipment of the Akkuyu NPP being built in the Republic of Turkey for the next five years - until January 2026 .
The Akkuyu nuclear power plant is being built in the Republic of Turkey on the Mediterranean coast in the Mersin province. The project provides for the construction of four power units with a capacity of 1200 MW each. The service life of each power unit of the Akkuyu NPP is 60 years, with the possibility of extension.
