A new product will be added to the wide range of machines and equipment produced by Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant in 2021 - a modern car pusher, which is currently being manufactured for the Avdiivka Coke-Chemical Plant. It will be integrated into the existing wagon unloading process at coal-loading shop # 2 instead of its worn-out predecessor, which has been in operation for more than half a century. Its shipment to the customer is scheduled for November this year.
A car pusher is a special mini-electric locomotive that works in conjunction with a car dumper and participates in the preparation of coal for coking. First, he pushes a train of 25 coal-laden carriages towards a car dumper, on which the last uncoupled car is installed and then returns the remaining cars to their original position. After this car is unloaded, it pushes the next one to the car dumper.
As the head of the bureau of transport devices of the design department of the metallurgical and mine-tunneling equipment division of NKMZ Dmitry Aleshin said, unlike the one proposed by competitors, the project of the new car pusher was developed with the most accurate observance of all the requirements of Avdeevka coke chemists. It is structurally simpler, lighter in weight, remotely controlled, and has optimal performance. In addition, it and the car dumper will be controlled from a common control panel, by one operator.
The car pusher can be used in any production that requires a quick step-by-step unloading of bulk materials by carriage norms, so the Novokramatorsk workers are looking forward to the next orders.
