The leaders of Primetals Technologies, a world leader in the field of engineering and supplies of technological equipment for metallurgical enterprises, paid a working visit to the enterprises of Metalloinvest - Lebedinsky GOK and OEMK im. A.A. Ugarov.
The delegation included Etsuro Hirai, Chief Technical Officer of Primetals and CEO of Primetals Austria, Ashish Gupta, Executive Vice President and Head of the International Manufacturing Business Unit Upstream, and heads of other specialized divisions Norbert Petermeier , Wolfgang Sterrer, Christoph Eichinger and Andreas Lamp.
At Lebedinsky GOK, representatives of the company got acquainted with the progress of construction of the Cyclic Flow Technology (CPT) complex in the quarry, examined the operating HBI-3 complex, one of the world's largest hot briquetted iron production facilities, and also visited the site for placement of the new HBZh-4 module.
During their visit to OEMK, Primetals Technologies experts walked through the entire technological chain of the enterprise, paying special attention to the section rolling shop and the shop for finishing rolled products.
The heads of the companies discussed the prospects for the further development of relations and the implementation of new joint projects.

In February this year, Mikhailovsky HBI (55% owned by USM, 45% owned by Mikhailovsky GOK) and Primetals Technologies signed a contract for the supply of equipment for a new HBI plant in Zheleznogorsk, Kursk region.
