PAO Severstal, one of the world's largest vertically integrated steel and mining companies, has extended its contract with Freight One (Freight One) until 2024. Severstal has increased the fixed volume of traffic in the operator's fleet, and Freight One has improved the terms of delivery of products by rail as part of the new agreement.
“We intend to continue our cooperation with Pervaya Cargo Company, taking into account the accumulated experience. The existing conditions require the supplier of logistics services to have an even higher quality of service, the level of training of rolling stock, a clear discipline of the supply of the car fleet, Freight One has all the possibilities for this, "commented Alexey Podkolzin, Planning and Logistics Director of Russian Steel.
Severstal "Is a high-tech enterprise, the rhythm of which, among other things, depends on efficiently built logistics. Our company has all the resources to ensure the transportation of goods of the strategic partner on time and in full. We have formed a joint development program for the logistics system of one of the leading steel producers in Russia, including optimization of transport costs, long-term planning and rational use of freight cars. The basic service was also significantly improved: the accuracy and quality of the supplied cars. Colleagues from Severstal, in turn, have increased the guaranteed volume of transportation of their products in Freight One's fleet. The annual volume of traffic in our wagons will increase by about 4 million tons, ”said Dmitry Pritula, Executive Director of Freight One.
The companies have been cooperating since 2013. Then the first agreements were concluded between the parties. In 2018, the partners signed new five-year service contracts for rail transportation of the Group's products in Freight One's gondola cars. The comprehensive service program includes the timely delivery of the required number of wagons for loading, the export of the partner's products strictly on schedule, including during the peak season, prompt response to customer requests, as well as filing applications on weekends.
