JSC Uralelectromed (an enterprise of the metallurgical complex of UMMC) has started the final stage of construction of the second stage of Steel Structure Production (PSK) - installation and commissioning of an automated production line for welded grating with a capacity more than 300 tons per month.
The electrical part of the line is currently being designed. Equipment delivery is expected in November. Until that time, an additional electrical substation will be installed in PSK, the foundations and ventilation system will be prepared.
According to Andrey Myslyaev, Head of Steel Structures Production, with the help of an automated line, the enterprise will expand the range of products, and will also perform a full range of services for the manufacture of metal structures - from procurement operations to assembly and galvanizing of products of any size.
- At the moment, the production is provided by the enterprises that are part of the UMMC structure. But it is possible that we will also enter the Russian market, occupying a certain niche: the workshop's capacity allows us to produce up to 9 thousand tons of steel structures per year, - he noted.
The most modern equipment from leading foreign and domestic manufacturers has been delivered to production sites. For example, a shot blasting chamber, which allows the preparation of metal structures before painting. The second stage of the PSK will also be equipped with welding stations, a painting and drying chamber for painting large-sized products.
At the first stage, in the billet department, metalworking equipment is installed: end-milling machines, welding stations, profile benders, bending machines, machine tools for straightening angle profiles, an automated line for processing angle profiles, two thermal cutting units, and more. All units are located on an area of over 15,000 sq. m.
