The results of the annual republican competition "The best building product of the year" have been summed up. According to the results of the expert evaluation of the competition jury, the products of three enterprises of the BMK holding at once were awarded the Honorary Diploma of the winner: Mogilev Metallurgical Plant, Rechitsa Hardware Plant and Belarusian Metallurgical Plant.
It was by no means easy to win. The competition is getting tougher every year. Thus, the number of applications compared to 2018 increased by 20 percent: about 120 products from 93 manufacturers were presented for the competition, which, by the way, has now been held for the sixteenth time. Preliminary expert selection admitted 90 products from 65 companies to the final round.
& bsp; & bsp; Note that BMZ has been participating and winning the competition since 2010. This time, the title of "Best Building Product of the Year" was awarded to the company by weldable rebars made of carbon steel S-500WC in rods (10-36 mm) produced according to the requirements of the Israeli standard SI 4466-3: 2013. It is used in construction for reinforcing reinforced concrete structures.
& bsp; & bsp; Non-tensioned hot-rolled reinforcement consists of round rods with or without two longitudinal ribs and with two or more rows of transverse ribs located along the perimeter at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the rod, running along a multi-start helical line, having different directions on the sides of the rod.
& bsp; & bsp; On the territory of the Republic of Belarus BMZ is the only manufacturer of this type of product. For the six months of this year, the share of exports of this product in total sales is 3.8%, or 41 & bsp; 977 tons. For 2018, BMZ shipped 78 & bsp; 676 tons of this reinforcement.
