Severstal for the fifth time supported the holding of the Golden Mask festival in Petrozavodsk and Kostomuksha. This year the Festival is held in two stages. On September 17 and 18, spectators in Petrozavodsk saw the performance of the Russian Academic Youth Theater (RAMT), Moscow, "Our people - we will be numbered" based on the play of the same name by Alexander Ostrovsky. On September 20, the play was shown in Kostomuksha.
Severstal and Karelsky Okatysh have been supporting the Golden Mask in Petrozavodsk and Kostomuksha since 2015, and every year new emotions, new impressions and discoveries ! The festival has firmly entered the calendar of all theater lovers in Karelia, and I am very pleased that our company has something to do with this, ”said Maxim Vorobyov, General Director of Karelskyokatysh and Olkon.
The second stage of the Festival will be held in Petrozavodsk on October 2 and 3. There will be a show of the play "The Old House" staged by the Theater "Center for Drama and Directing", Moscow.
Cooperation between Severstal and the Golden Mask Festival began in 2005 with the support of the Festival in Latvia. Since 2010, the best performances of the Festival with the support of the company have been presented in Cherepovets, and since 2015 - in Petrozavodsk and Kostomuksha. In 2015, Severstal was recognized as a laureate of the Golden Mask award in the nomination For supporting theatrical art.
The Golden Mask National Theater Award was established in 1993 by the Union of Theater Workers of Russia as a professional award for the best works seasons all types of theatrical art (drama, opera, ballet, modern dance, operetta /musical, puppet theater). Laureates of the Prize are determined at the annual Festival of performances-nominees.
