Pellet granulator is a unit for forming pellets from sawdust, straw, grass. It is also used for pressing animal feed. Important equipment for a private trader, farmer, manufacturer. Some are looking for an ad to buy pellets, while others are purchasing granulators in order to stamp these pellets on their own. The higher the power of the machine, the more products are made on it. For a household, a model with a production of 40-100 kg /h is suitable, and for a business from 400 to 3000 kg /h. Fuel pellets are in demand today for heating houses, and they can also be sold through pet stores.
What manufacturers offer is a wide range
Pellet Granulator processes chopped wood, grass, hay, straw, cereals. On sale there are different variations in power (from 1.5 kW to 37 kW and more). Some weigh 100 kg and are mounted on a table, others need a workshop with a high ceiling for installation. The price of the machine also depends on the technical characteristics. And the production of sawdust pellets is very much in demand today. Almost every woodworking master has a pellet granulator at home. And here we are not even talking about farmers who constantly press hay on the feed mill.
What determines the size of the pellet?
Classic pressers are able to form pellets with a diameter of 2 to 8 -mi millimeters. The smallest ones are relevant for making bird feed, and for fuel pellets you need a diameter of 6-8 mm. Thanks to the matrix with holes through which the pellets are squeezed out, we get the finished product at the exit. The larger the diameter of the matrix, the more holes in it and the higher the productivity.
The ratio of the size of the matrix and the yield of finished products:
“And so, the pellet granulator allows form particles of different diameters. The customer chooses a matrix with the desired hole diameter when purchasing. You can order an additional one, with other hole sizes.
What does the motor power and network parameters affect?
We already wrote that there are motors with power from 1.5 kW to 37 kW etc. The more powerful the engine, the longer it runs without overheating. In this case, you should also remember about the mains voltage, 220 volts or 380 volts. Machines with motors from 1.5 kW to 4 kW can be operated from one phase (220 V). The 220v pellet mill is priced lower than the 380v one. All powerful engines, starting from 4 kW, require a network with a voltage of 380 V. An efficient pellet model with a power of 37 kW can produce up to 500 kg of finished products per hour.
What are the advantages of a pellet press:
- The cost of pellets is reduced if you make them yourself, and not buy them;
- During the pressing process, the raw material is compacted, which reduces its volume;
- Sawdust of different types of wood can be mixed , dilute with hay, straw, husk;
- The same holes on the matrix contribute to the formation of the same particles.
“If you have a solid fuel boiler, it is profitable to purchase a granulator and make pellets for heating year-round. This is all the more relevant in the midst of an increase in the cost of energy resources or their insufficient quantity on the market.
Sawdust granulator as a business is always relevant. Every day you can create a product that pet stores will buy as bedding for animals. Order a machine in any configuration, without a motor, with an additional matrix, etc. A significant plus is international certification. This means that the equipment can be operated not only in Ukraine, but also abroad.
