TMK Steel Technologies, a part of the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK), has for the first time completed an order for the manufacture of welded tees with a diameter of 2,620 mm. The products are almost twice as large as the standard dimensions of stamped—welded pipeline parts - up to 1,420 mm.
The total weight of the products shipped to the customer was more than 300 tons. The products are intended for use in technological pipelines of plants for deep processing of hydrocarbon raw materials.
The company's specialists carried out a full cycle of work — from the creation of design documentation and the development of product manufacturing technologies to the main production operations at the TMK Steel Technologies site. During the execution of the order, high-tech equipment was used, in particular, the task of making chamfers by gas cutting was solved using a robotic complex that ensures high accuracy of work.
The capacities of the Chelyabinsk Metal Structures Plant (CHZMK), also part of TMK, were used for pressure treatment of tee housings with record dimensions.

The welded tees with a diameter of 2,620 mm were manufactured in a month and a half instead of the planned two, which once again demonstrates the technological advantages of TMK enterprises in fulfilling orders of any level of complexity and scale," said Evgeny Gubanov, Managing Director of TMK's Mainline engineering Division.
