TMK conducted a large-scale inspection of occupational safety systems at its plants

The Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) held an Occupational Safety Day, during which it checked compliance with occupational safety and industrial safety regulations in the company's branches. Audit commissions from TMK's top managers and enterprises visited more than 20 sites of the company.

The inspection of the occupational safety system was carried out in such areas as "loading and unloading", "high-risk work" and "impact of moving machinery". The auditors held thematic meetings with the heads of the enterprises' divisions and assessed the level of compliance with industrial safety rules directly at the production sites according to the checklists.

The participants of the rounds also studied the results of corrective actions according to the plan drawn up following the results of the Safety Day in 2025, prepared a register of inconsistencies and made recommendations for their elimination. In addition to the stated three topics, the commissions also drew attention to the need to comply with additional labor protection requirements and formulated proposals for strict compliance with the current rules.

"TMK is constantly improving its occupational safety system. The company updates and modernizes personal protective equipment and equipment, implements digital mechanisms for predicting and analyzing emergency situations, conducts specialized training and briefings, and popularizes the topic of industrial safety through corporate communication channels. We create conditions for the involvement of the maximum number of employees in the process of improving the occupational safety culture — the sense of everyone's involvement in this important work is a prerequisite for achieving zero injuries at all our sites," said Sergey Chikalov, CEO of TMK.

"Occupational Safety Days help us make the work environment safer and safer. In 2025, 252 inconsistencies were identified at the company's plants, from 80 to 100% of which were eliminated by the second quarter of this year. The prompt implementation of the planned events indicates a high degree of employee participation in improving the level of industrial safety in the company," said Evgeny Zaselsky, Chief Engineer of TMK.

TMK's Occupational Safety Day is being held for the eleventh time, it is timed to coincide with World Occupational Safety Day, which takes place annually on April 28. During the inspection, the plants demonstrate the results of the work carried out following the results of previous audit activities, offer their projects to modernize the production infrastructure and improve the occupational safety culture.
