The Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) has updated and supplemented the author's photo project about the factory dynasties "People with character", published on the brand media platform of the company "Trubnik Online". It presents the stories of the families of employees of TMK enterprises in the Sverdlovsk region — Pervouralsky Novotrubny (PNTZ), Seversky (STZ) and Sinarsky pipe (SinTZ) plants.
"People with Character" is a joint project of TMK and photojournalist Mikhail Sinitsyn. It is dedicated to factory dynasties, in which labor traditions and respect for the profession are passed down from generation to generation. As part of the relaunch, the design and layout of the material about the Zyuzev dynasty from the STZ have been completely updated — representatives of five generations of this family with a total work experience of more than 800 years work at the enterprise. The members of the dynasty actively participated in the development of workshops, the launch of equipment and the life of the factory team.
The project is complemented by the stories of two more dynasties, in particular the Povalyaev family from the PNTZ, whose combined work experience exceeds 700 years. Representatives of several generations of this family have connected their professional activities with pipe production. Another dynasty, the Studenikins and SYNTHZ, has more than 1,100 years of combined work experience, and the history of this family is also inextricably linked with the development of the enterprise and the industry as a whole. The examples of these dynasties demonstrate the continuity of labor traditions, the stability of professional values and fidelity to the principles laid down by the older generations.
The People with Character project uses various narrative formats: personal memories of the characters, archival photographs, as well as homages to them — modern visual interpretations that recreate the atmosphere of past years. The materials are supplemented with video footage shot on production sites, at home and on joint walks with the project participants.
"The People with Character project is of particular importance in the year of TMK's 25th anniversary. In two months, the pilot material has gained more than 2.5 thousand views, and the average page reading time exceeds 13 minutes, which is a very high indicator for brand media. Readers don't just scroll through the site, but get involved and experience it with the characters — this is a sign that the chosen format is working. We are convinced that respect for the profession is formed through sincere attention to working people and their way of life," said Ayla Belousova, head of TMK's digital media department.
The launch of the People with Character project took place in 2025 on the Trubnik Online platform.
