The Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) and the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostechnadzor) have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of industrial safety. The corresponding agreement was signed on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026) by Sergey Chikalov, CEO of TMK, and Alexander Trembitsky, Head of Rostechnadzor.
Within the framework of the agreement, the parties will organize the exchange of information, provide scientific and methodological support and scientific and technical support for activities to strengthen occupational safety and will contribute to improving the legislation of the Russian Federation in this area. The document provides for meetings, seminars and consultations, the organization of working and expert groups and other formats of interaction.
"Industrial safety is an absolute priority for TMK along with occupational safety and environmental protection. We study and implement best practices, develop our own technical and organizational solutions to prevent possible emergencies and ensure comfortable and safe working conditions for employees. In this work, we are guided by the standards set by Rostechnadzor. Through systematic cooperation with the agency, we will gain access to promising developments in this area, be able to share our experience, actively participate in industry dialogue and contribute to strengthening the safety culture at the national level," said Sergey Chikalov.
TMK strives for zero injuries and, to this end, continuously improves production technologies and infrastructure at its enterprises. Every year, TMK plants host an Occupational Safety Day, during which occupational safety and industrial safety compliance audits are organized with the participation of the company's top management. Based on the results of the inspections, corrective actions are developed and implemented. There are also unscheduled Occupational Safety Weeks with cross-checks and exchange of experience between different sites of the company. To improve the industrial safety system, the company has a digital Accident Investigation Library, which records all accidents since 2015. These data make it possible to analyze bottlenecks and develop common approaches to solving emerging problems. TMK and Rostechnadzor to strengthen cooperation in the field of industrial safety
