Verkhnyaya Pyshma (Sverdlovsk Region)
A modern domestic-made band saw has been put into operation at the "Production of steel structures" (PSK) of JSC Uralelectromed (an enterprise of the UMMC metallurgical complex). It works in automatic mode and allows you to cut metal of various configurations twice as fast as similar equipment in the workshop.
- Due to the large volume of orders, we decided to intensify the work process with the help of a new band saw machine with automated cutting ... The unit came to us two weeks ago. At the moment, its commissioning has been completed, - noted the head of the PSK Andrey Myslyaev.
The new machine is installed on a turntable, which is convenient during operation - it allows you to cut metal at different angles. The machine is equipped with an automatic feed unit, as well as a gantry and a saw frame that moves along the gantry. The machine's mechanisms are controlled by an automated Siemes system.
The machine cuts any metal products: beams, profiles, channels, angles and much more. The machine can cut non-ferrous metals, stainless and alloy steel and cast iron. Rolled stock with a small cross-section can be cut in bundles.
On the portal of the unit, sensors are installed that regulate the speed and direction of the metal. It is enough for an employee to enter data into the touch panel, where to indicate the dimensions of sawing in width, length and radius.
In the near future, the division will start manufacturing metal structures that will be used in the third stage of the copper electrolysis workshop of Uralelectromed JSC, and also structures for the smelting department of the metallurgical shop "Svyatogora" (enterprise of the metallurgical complex UMMC, Krasnouralsk).
