At the Uchalinsky GOK (an enterprise of the raw materials complex of UMMC), work is nearing completion on the installation of two double-circuit high-voltage lines 35 kV for power supply of underground and surface structures of the Novo-Uchalinsky mine. Electricity will be transmitted from a 110 kV substation (SS) of the Shakhty located on the territory of the Uchalinsky underground mine. For this purpose, 49 metal supports of the overhead transmission line were erected. The total length of the lines is 3.4 km, about 600 meters of them run in the ground: at a depth of about two meters, concrete trays are laid in four rows, each of which contains three high-voltage cables designed to transmit voltage of 35 thousand volts.
“The fact is that when transporting electricity over a long distance to transmit high power, it is necessary to increase the voltage, since in this case both the current strength and the cross-section of the wires of the overhead line and cable are less. Therefore, at first, the voltage increases by several thousand Volts, then it is transmitted through air and cable lines, and then we lower it to an operating level of 6 and 0.4 kV, "explained Ramil Safiullin, chief power engineer of the repair and installation department of the Uchalinsky GOK.
Upon completion of the construction of the power transmission line, the electrical laboratory of the power shop of the plant will conduct tests, on the basis of which a decision will be made to put the lines into operation. More than 85 million rubles have already been invested in the implementation of power supply projects for the Novo-Uchalinsky mine.
