General Director of TMK Igor Korytko took part in an online discussion, which was conducted by the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs (RSPP) in the framework of the Weeks of the Russian business-2020.


His performance was the session on "labour Market: the lessons of the crisis and post-crisis development", participants discussed the effectiveness of measures of the state and business for the preservation of jobs and the workforce, the labour market under new conditions, as well as the successful practices and prospects for the introduction of digital technologies in employment relationship.


According to Igor Korytko, one of the important outcomes of the period of isolation was that applied to the coronavirus remote access technologies and remote working in pandemic conditions tested and became really popular for the staff of many companies.


"as a result, both staff and employers we realized that using these remote methods, you can not just work, but work with the same efficiency, providing the same dynamics of deliberations and decision-making as in a regular mode", — said Igor Korytko.


According to him, in the past in the isolation time, the staff has formed new habits, and companies need to be ready. On the other hand, there was the opportunity to assess their employees in the new working conditions. In remote mode on the fore such competencies like digital literacy, ability to work in an online format, the ability to rearrange the usual work schedule.


"We saw each employee with the other hand, and I must say that many showed the best qualities that we previously may not have always noticed," — said General Director of TMK.


At the same time, according to Igor Korytko, remote mode and showed the ability to optimize staff performance, and not in the sense of reducing its numbers, but in terms of more effective redistribution of functions, determine a more specific functionality, creating clearer terms of engagement of employees.


Also, according to General Director of TMK, the high importance in the context of the pandemic showed internal communication, corporate social networks, mobile apps and instant messengers became an important source of information and sharing best practices for employees, played a key role in effective operational communication management.
