Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) was awarded a diploma for outstanding contribution to the development of Russian participation in the Sakhalin-2 oil and gas project. The award was presented during the 24th Sakhalin Oil and Gas 2020 International Conference, which took place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk from September 30 to October 1.
Diploma to the Director for Development and Technical Sales of TMK Premium Products , Chief Executive Officer of Sakhalin Energy (operator of the Sakhalin-2 project) Roman Dashkov presented to the General Director of TMK-Premium Service Sergei Rekin. TMK has been operating in Sakhalin for a long time and is part of the pool of pipe suppliers for all major operators of offshore projects in Sakhalin. Of the domestic pipe producers, only TMK currently ships its premium products for Sakhalin offshore projects. In order to expand its presence on the island, TMK opened its representative office in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk in November 2019, which provides technical support to consumers, supplies premium products and provides appropriate service support.
TMK's cooperation with Sakhalin Energy in within the Sakhalin-2 project became a vivid example of a technological breakthrough in the framework of import substitution of pipe products for Sakhalin offshore projects. TMK has gone from the successful qualification of pipes to their industrial deliveries to the customer and is currently building a system of comprehensive service support for the supply of premium pipes on the island. In this regard, in January of this year, TMK and Sakhalin Energy signed a number of documents to develop service and technical support for the supply of pipe products for the Sakhalin-2 project.
