In the shops and divisions of Uralelectromed JSC (an enterprise of the UMMC metallurgical complex), the Digital Assistant project is being implemented. This is a software package designed to calculate the main technological parameters. In particular, in the copper powder workshop (CMP) this service is at the final stage of implementation. The advantages of the program have already been appreciated by metal powder operators who calculate the charge (mixture of starting materials) of copper powder in laboratory conditions.
The process of analysis and calculation of the charge is organized as follows. After the dry processing operation: drying, grinding and sieving, the resulting powder is unloaded into special metal containers (kubels). Then the operator takes powder samples from each tube, determines the bulk density and particle size distribution using special equipment. The results are entered into the program. The digital assistant calculates and chooses the tubes for the final mixing of the powder himself.
Previously, after receiving the finished powder grade, the operator manually performed an averaged calculation of the charge for compliance with the required parameters of GOST and TU. Using the "Digital Assistant" allowed them to get rid of paperwork and reduce the time spent on calculating the technological parameters of the product.
- The program is a web application and contains a user-friendly interface. The operator just needs to enter the password, enter the program, set the date and write the technological data in the mixing section. By clicking "OK" the program itself will make an averaged calculation for this type of powder and offer mixing options. Engineering and technical specialists can familiarize themselves with the results obtained at any time in the "magazine" section, - said Larisa Popova, head of the department for development and maintenance of information systems of Uralelectromed JSC, about the work of the program.
Note that copper powders are in demand both in the domestic and foreign markets. They are used to obtain products for low-voltage equipment, contacts, bushings for the engineering industry and much more.
