On May 30-31, Moscow hosted the final of the International Engineering Championship "CASE-IN". In the League of Young Professionals (up to 35 years old) of the CASE-IN championship, the winner was a team from UGMK-Holding LLC (Copper Quatum), consisting of:
Anatoly Papchenkov - Head of Energy Efficiency Department and energy audit (service of the energy director of UGMK-Holding LLC);
Anton Yemelyanov - head of the strategic analysis department (service of the deputy general director of UGMK-Holding LLC);
Yulia Muzychenko - head of the department for work with financial organizations (service of the financial director of UMMC-Holding LLC);
Vyacheslav Evsyukov - leading engineer of the automation department (Uralelectromed JSC).
the topic of the engineering case was “Digitalization of the Far East”. In accordance with the assignment, the teams designed the digital integration of large-scale energy and infrastructure projects in the Far East into a macro-regional system - in the Asia-Pacific region. The team, in particular, worked out a set of digital solutions for the Natalka gold deposit - the largest operating deposit in Russia.
After a detailed analysis of production processes at Natalka GOK, the UMMC team members proposed several directions for optimizing production efficiency using digital technologies - visiometric analysis of the grade of the processed ore, autopilot of mining equipment, mixed reality technology, etc. For the successful functioning of the proposed solutions, a digital model is presented that will allow combining local systems and optimizing the organizational structure of the company. The introduction of these technologies, according to preliminary calculations, can bring the project an additional profit of about 1.5 billion rubles over 10 years, and additional contributions to the state budget will amount to about 230 million rubles.
The "CASE-IN" final is a grandiose competition of young engineers and engineering students. This year, 15 teams from the companies of the fuel and energy and mineral resources complexes and more than 500 students from 57 universities of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan made it to the final of the League of Young Professionals - to the final of the Student League of the championship.
Teams from Gazprom Transgaz Ufa LLC (2nd place), Gazprom Investproject LLC (3rd place), SUEK-Kuzbass JSC, Enel Russia PJSC, Tatneft PJSC were tough competition in the League of Young Professionals , LLC Gazprom transgaz Surgut, LLC Gazprom UGS, JSC Gazpromneft - MNPZ, JSC Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Dalniy Vostok, JSC System Operator of the Unified Energy System ODU South, PJSC IDGC of the North-West and JSC Gold of Seligdar ". The performance of the UMMC team was highly appreciated by experts.
- It is worth noting the creative approach to solving the case, the high level of elaboration of the proposed solutions by the UMMC team, systematic, structured and accurate presentation of materials. The considered digital solutions will allow to largely level the existing limitations that are relevant for many enterprises of the mining and processing division, such as the high cost of fuel, high labor costs and a shortage of qualified personnel, low rates of metal recovery. I want to wish the guys good luck, self-realization and implementation of the proposed projects at domestic enterprises, - said the chairman of the expert commission of the League of Young Professionals CASE-IN, vice president of the National Chamber of Technology, member of the subcommittee on digital economy and innovation and the subcommittee on energy Committee for International Cooperation of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) Alexander Khrebtov.
