The Izhstal plant (part of the Mechel Group) was visited by graduates of Izhevsk School No. 42. The certificate for an excursion tour within the framework of the project for the development of industrial tourism "Udmurtia PLANT" was presented to the school by the Head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov during the last call.

Such a gift to graduates is not accidental: many of the children decided to continue their studies in leading Russian technical universities and plan to link life with production.

Graduates visited the electric steel-making shop, where they witnessed the operation of a new electric steel-making furnace, got an idea of the technological process of steel production.

Maxim Mikhalev: “Many of my classmates enter technical Universities, planning to link their work with production in the future. It is very valuable for them to get directly acquainted with the factories of Udmurtia in terms of understanding the infrastructure of the enterprise. For me personally, this excursion is important because Izhstal is a part of my family history. My grandmother worked almost all her life at the plant in the central laboratory. Until now, they gather as their team for the holidays. It's great that today I can join her world a little. ”

Polina Kuznetsova:“ Here at Izhstal there is real production without embellishment, real work is difficult, difficult. You go into the shop and see these huge units, which are several times larger than the people, these metal structures, hurrying on business of workers in overalls and helmets. As if you find yourself in another world or see life from the other side. It was a little scary - from the sounds, from the rising fire, and delightful. "

Tatyana Tatarkina, class teacher:" My parents worked at this plant. And now, being here, I felt a connection with the time of my childhood. We lived in Zarek, a workers' village where all the neighbors worked at a metallurgical plant. These were mainly employees of the 20th workshop. There was always a lot of talk about the plant. But I didn't even think that the plant was so big and complex. It is surprising, first of all, its size and scope. Hulk! Several of my graduates are going to pursue further education in chemistry. Maybe their fate will be connected with this plant. "
