Metalloinvest has carried out large-scale renovations at the Novotroitsk Family Reading Library. For these purposes, the Company allocated 16.3 million rubles within the framework of socio-economic partnership with the regional government and the city administration.
The facade of the building was updated, the interior space was changed, all engineering systems were replaced and improvement was carried out adjacent territory. Thanks to the work carried out, the library will be able to apply for participation in the federal project "Cultural Environment".
Project participants receive additional funds from the federal budget for the implementation of a system of readers' access to the resources of the National Electronic Library - the largest collection of digitized books, scientific works, musical notations and other materials. The implementation of the project implies the introduction of electronic library tickets, the installation of independent book distribution stations, providing readers with access to the Consultant and Garant platforms, creating conditions for a comfortable stay of people with disabilities.
“Books are a source of knowledge and experience. Reading broadens your horizons, enriches your vocabulary and shapes your personality. It is especially important to develop these qualities for the younger generation. Therefore, the reading space should be comfortable and functional, - said the managing director of Ural Steel Ildar Iskakov, congratulating the library staff and its visitors on the opening after the renovation. "Metalloinvest's systematic work to support culture and education lays a solid foundation for the dynamic development of the city and the region."
Ildar Iskakov handed over to the institution a certificate in the amount of 300 thousand rubles. With these funds, the library will be able to purchase new modern shelving and replenish the book fund, which now amounts to 60 thousand copies.
