OJSC “BMZ”, the management company of the “BMK” holding, has since the beginning of 2021 mastered the production of 7 new types of metal products under the orders of consumers - rebar, round bars, hot-rolled seamless pipes and wire. This made it possible to increase the share of innovative products in the total volume of shipments of the enterprise to 30 percent.
One of the new types of products mastered at BMZ this year is round bars made of carbon steel grade C50 mod. Its production technology was developed by order of a well-known German manufacturer of automotive components. Along with the traditionally strict requirements for mechanical and chemical characteristics, this rolled product has high demands for surface quality: the minimum depth of surface defects and decarburization. This allows the consumer to optimize their own production cycle. The technical services of the plant, in close cooperation with the production workers, managed to achieve the desired result. The first delivery has already been made to the consumer. There are agreements on shipments for the first half of 2021.
& bsp; & bsp; According to operational data for January-March, BMZ exported metal products to 44 countries in the amount of over $ 300 million. The share of round metal intended for the automotive industry in the export volume is about 10%. This year, these products were supplied to 22 countries. The leaders of its consumption are Germany, Poland, Italy and Norway.
