PJSC Severstal and JSC EVRAZ Metall Inprom (hereinafter EMI, part of the Evraz plc group.) are launching a technical platform for joint sales on the site of the Severstal online store market.severstal.com <- dle_leech_end -> pilot project "Online Showcases".
The goal of the joint project is to expand the geography of sales within Russia by using the warehouse infrastructure of partners. At the moment, any existing or potential client of the company (except for individuals) of the Severstal online store can purchase hot-rolled sheets from warehouses in Tula. Soon a similar service will be available for customers from Kirov, as well as a number of other cities.
It is expected that in the near future the range of products available for ordering within the framework of the Online Showcases project will be expanded due to high-quality and structural shapes, pipes and roll-formed sections, cold rolled products, coated rolled products - more than 2000 items in total. By the end of the year, it is planned to expand the range of products not manufactured by Severstal, but available at the partners 'warehouses.
The process of purchasing products from the partners' warehouses will not differ from the standard procedure already familiar to the user of the Severstal online store.
The launch of the Online Showcase project is fully consistent with one of the key approaches of the updated strategy of Severstal - closer cooperation with clients within the framework of the implementation of the strategic priority “Excellent customer experience”. Availability of Severstal products at the partners' warehouses will reduce logistics costs and significantly reduce delivery times.
“I am convinced that a project that is unique for Russian metallurgical companies will become a new stage in relations with customers, and the number of partners will only expand. The launch of Online Showcase gives us the opportunity to create additional benefits for existing and potential customers of Severstal products by reducing costs, providing new opportunities and accelerating all business processes throughout the entire customer service cycle, ”said Severstal's Director of Marketing and Customer Experience Improvement Maria Shalina.
“For EMI, the new format of cooperation with Severstal is an example of a successful supply chain and effective online interaction. Colleagues turned to us as the largest federal trader. The successful integration into the project of our partners was ensured by the large-scale geography of the company's presence and streamlined business processes throughout the network. In the future, we plan to scale the project to all divisions, "commented Ekaterina Balbasheva, Director of EVRAZ Metal Inprom Marketing.
