At the Sibkabel plant (part of the Cable Alliance Holding, which unites the cable assets of UMMC), a new line was installed to apply insulation to a conductive core (TPZh). This will significantly increase the production of power, control cables and cables for rolling stock. The cost of the equipment is about 80 million rubles.
“The maximum operating speed of insulation on the new line is 800 m /min, which is ten times higher than that of the existing machines in the shop. The design of the receiving device provides a transition from one coil to another without stopping the line. Another feature of it is the presence of two extruders: the main one imposes insulation on the TPG, the additional one - a strip color, which facilitates the installation of multicore cables. All this saves the operator's time for setting up and adjusting equipment, and also minimizes production waste, "- explained the head of workshop No. 3 Sergey Kovalenko.
The new line can process various types of insulation materials (PVC, polyethylene, halogen-free compositions ). The equipment is equipped with a modern quality control system: at the slightest defect in the insulation, a signal is automatically given, which makes it possible to exclude the release of defective products.
