JSC "MC" Kuzbassrazrezugol "(an enterprise of the raw materials complex of UMMC) for the second time became the winner of the ecological campaign" Paper Boom 42 ", which took place in the Kemerovo region under the auspices of the Council of Working Youth of Kuzbass. Employees of the coal company collected more than 26.5 tons of waste paper from February to June 2021.
Thanks to their participation in the environmental campaign, the miners of the Kuzbassrazrezugol Management Company saved more than 260 trees from cutting down, and also saved 26,000 kW of electricity and 5,200 cubic meters water.
“At first glance, the collection of waste paper is not so important on the scale of a coal enterprise, but we are convinced that such events significantly affect the consciousness of people, allow them to motivate them to change the established way of life and organizational habits and instill a respectful attitude to the environment ", - says Vitaly Latokhin, Deputy Director of JSC" MC "Kuzbassrazrezugol" for ecology, industrial safety and land use.
"Paper boom 42" has become a good ecological tradition in Kuzbass - this year the action has already taken place for the fifth time. It was supported by 19 largest coal mining, gas, energy and chemical enterprises in the region, as well as healthcare organizations - by the joint efforts of the participants, 43 tons of waste paper were collected.
All collected waste paper was transferred to a specialized recycling plant.
