Izhora Pipe Plant (ITZ, part of PJSC Severstal) has started shipping large-diameter pipes for the construction of the Kovykta - Chayanda section of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline for Gazprom. Based on the results of the tender won at the end of 2018, the company will supply to the key client about 100 thousand tons of pipes with a diameter of 1420 mm made of steel of strength class K60.
ITZ also continues to ship products for the project of developing gas transmission facilities of the Unified Gas Supply System in the North-West Region ... According to the terms of the contracts concluded as a result of the tender in December 2018, by the end of this year the plant will supply the client with about 110 thousand tons of pipes. In addition, in the first half of 2019. ITZ successfully completed the shipment of products for this project within the framework of its obligations under the tender, which the enterprise won in the 1st quarter of 2018. Under the terms of the contract, ITZ shipped 165 thousand tons of pipes with a diameter of 1420 mm, wall thickness from 18.7 to 32 mm made of steel strength K60 with internal smooth and external anti-corrosion coatings. Part of the production volume was made up of pipes with external protective nano-modified coating "ZUB-Composite", which ITZ supplied in partnership with BT SVAP, providing a solution to the client's complex problem of effectively protecting the pipeline from mechanical damage during laying in difficult soil conditions. The plant shipped its products in accordance with the required schedule.
For the production of pipes, Severstal uses its own rolled metal, which is produced by the company's 5000 sheet rolling mill, located at the same industrial site with the ITZ in the Kolpinsky district of St. Petersburg. The availability of its own raw material base, steelmaking and rolling production allows Severstal to control the quality of products at each processing stage and provides flexibility in interaction with consumers.
