The aluminum corner is a pressed profile with a cross section in the shape of the letter "G". It is produced from aluminum alloys of the 6060, 6061 and 6063 series by hot extrusion. Unlike its steel counterpart, it weighs three times less and does not require corrosion protection — the oxide film formed on the aluminum surface reliably protects the metal throughout its entire service life. On the company's website, the aluminum corner is presented in a wide range of standard sizes — from small decorative profiles to large structural elements.
The scope of application of the aluminum angle covers construction, mechanical engineering, aviation industry, furniture manufacturing, installation of exhibition systems and decorative finishing. The same type of product can be used both as a supporting element of a light metal structure and as a decorative trim for framing a window opening. A wide range of sizes and the ability to cut to size make it convenient for both industrial volumes and single orders. Additional information about the types of aluminum rolled products can be found in the aluminum products catalog.
Types of aluminum corner
Equal-sex corner
The most common type. Both shelves have the same width — from 10 to 150 mm. The profile is symmetrical about the axis, which simplifies load calculation and installation. It is used to strengthen corner joints, manufacture frames and frames, frame steps and countertops, and install shelving. Standard shelf sizes: 10×10, 15×15, 20×20, 25×25, 30×30, 40×40, 50×50, 60×60, 70×70, 80×80, 100×100 mm. The wall thickness is 1-10 mm.
Uneven-sex corner
Shelves have different widths, for example 40×20, 60×30, 80×40 mm. This geometry is necessary when the loads in two planes are not the same, or when one shelf must cover a large width. It is used in roofing systems, installation of hinged facades, production of transport equipment.
Perforated corner
A profile with holes applied in a specific step. It is used in mounting systems where adjustment of the fastener position is required, such as shelving and exhibition structures, cable routes, and attachments.
Decorative corner
Thin–walled profile (0.5-1.5 mm) for finishing work. Protects the outer corners from chipping and mechanical damage, serves as a transitional element when changing the finishing material. The surface is anodized (silver, gold, bronze) or coated with PVC film.
Technical specifications
The key parameters that are specified when ordering an aluminum corner:
- The width of the shelves (b₁ × b₂) is one value for equal—floor, for unequal-floor
