The government plans to allocate UAH 3.6 billion in 2023, including UAH 558 million. - training and retraining. This was announced by First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko during the event "Business Without Barriers" with the support of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, which was held with the participation of government representatives and leading Ukrainian companies on March 28.

“The main challenge is to create inclusive jobs, which will need more for those workers who are returning from the war zone. Every day the number of people with disabilities is increasing, and businesses are ready to respond to this. These people should get every opportunity to return to work, to realize themselves. To have a worthy place in life and feel comfortable. The state and employers are already working on this,” said First Lady Olena Zelenska.

In turn, Yulia Sviridenko noted the contribution of leading Ukrainian companies to creating a barrier-free environment. In particular, we are talking about the adaptation of mobilized employees of companies who have received disability, psychological trauma or mental disorders and their return to an economically active life.

“On the one hand, in Ukraine today there are 2, 8 million unemployed, on the other hand, each company has a shortage of personnel with the necessary qualifications. Our task is to overcome barriers, both qualifying and physical, in order to adapt to the work of everyone who wants and can work. The state offers programs to encourage employers to find employment through compensation of part of their wages or ERUs, retraining of the unemployed at the expense of the state, as well as the provision of grants from the state to start their own business. It is important that we take the right tactical steps to ensure that the business works and people have access to the labor market”, - said Yulia Sviridenko.

Thus, the government intends to increase the amount of compensation to the employer for the employment of a person with disabilities from 1 to 2 minimum wages plus the Unified Social Contribution and increase the payment period to 1 year - from UAH 10,895 to 14,527. It is also planned to increase the amount of compensation to employers for the employment of each combatant up to 2 minimum wages plus ERUs during the year - up to UAH 16,348. The duration of payments will increase to 1 year.

In addition, the state plans to cover the costs of employers for equipping workplaces for people with disabilities and a barrier-free workspace (arranging ramps, expanding doors, etc.).

Yulia Sviridenko said that a number of grant programs will start in April, which will be used by war veterans and their families. In particular, a combatant, a spouse of a combatant and persons with disabilities as a result of the war will be able to receive financial support from the state to start their own business - UAH 250 thousand, UAH 500 thousand, UAH 1 million, depending on the grant program.

“Work is not only about money, it's about dignity and the feeling of being needed in civilian life. The programs that are now in focus and the directions that we offer to employers and the unemployed are another opportunity for everyone to realize their right to work, gain economic independence and contribute to the economic development of the country,” Yulia Sviridenko emphasized. p>
