A hydraulic hammer for an excavator is an additional attachment that is used to carry out impact actions when using the hydraulic system of special equipment. To improve work efficiency, a variety of interchangeable tools are used, with the use of which a certain functionality and effect can be achieved.

Modern varieties of hydraulic hammers are distinguished by their small size and high power ratings, as well as the ability to install equipment without much time. The excavator driver will be able to carry out the process of installing the equipment independently.

Areas of use of hydraulic hammers

The presence of numerous attachments that can be easily and quickly changed when the first need arises makes hydraulic hammer for excavator is quite universal in use. The most common areas of use of such equipment are:

  • carrying out dismantling work of any complexity, including the destruction of foundations or full-fledged buildings;
  • carrying out road work in various directions;
  • driving piles into the ground, as well as breaking existing blocks that are not needed or that were installed incorrectly;
  • breaking the top layer of frozen soil in the cold season for various earthworks;
  • working with hard rocks when developing quarries, as well as during the construction of various tunnels in the mountains.

The described areas are key, that is, the device is used in them most often, but not the only ones. In fact, there are a huge number of areas for using a hydraulic hammer, because a similar product is presented on the market in a considerable assortment.

Classification of equipment

The product is divided into various categories depending on the impact force. Small ones provide the opportunity to influence 1.5 thousand J, medium ones - from 1.5 to 3 thousand, and large ones - more than 3 thousand. The required equipment option is determined depending on the complexity and frequency of various works, as well as the presence of nuances in the design and operating characteristics of the excavator itself.

The higher the impact force indicators, the higher the cost becomes. It also changes as the number of attachments in the package increases.
