A three-way ball valve is a type of shut-off and control valve designed for distributing liquid and gaseous products transported through pipes, including aggressive ones, by mixing, separating, and changing the direction of movement. Can be used to connect pressure gauges when carrying out control pressure measurements. The element is installed on technological pipelines and internal networks of enterprises in the oil and gas industry, chemical, pulp and paper and food industries, organizations in the agricultural and agro-technological sectors.
Design features
The housing has a stamped-welded design and is made of stainless steel 12Х18Н10Т or structural steel grades St20 and 09G2S. The choice in favor of one or another alloy is determined by the type and degree of aggressiveness of the transported liquids and gases. Bends for connecting pipes are integrated on 3 sides - at both ends and in the lower plane.
Inside, using fluoroplastic seats, a stainless steel plug with a through passage is tightly installed. By means of a spindle sealed with fluoroplastic rings, the bolt mechanism is connected to the rotary control lever. When you turn the handle, the shutter turns. This leads to the blocking of the lumen on some pipes and opening on others, depending on the spatial position of the lever and the type of channel profile of the plug.
L-shaped and T-shaped valves
A three-way ball valve is included plug with an L-shaped or T-shaped cross-section of the passage channel. All pipes are open, the medium enters the bottom and then moves to the pipeline sections through the end pipes.
The fittings on the bottom and left remain open, while the right one is closed.
The supply outlet is closed, they open only at the ends, and liquid or gas moves freely between them.
