Notary translation as an official way to confirm the authenticity of translated documents

Translation by a notary is a procedure in which a text translated from one language into another is notarized as accurate and consistent with the original. Such a document becomes legally binding and can be used in government agencies, courts, banks, embassies and international structures. The notary does not certify the content of the translation, but the translator's signature, confirming that the translation was performed by a competent specialist and meets the established standards. Due to this, a notarized translation is recognized by official institutions both in Ukraine and abroad.

When is a notary's translation necessary?

A notarized translation is required in situations where the document will be used in formal or legal processes. This may include obtaining a residence permit, studying abroad, obtaining citizenship, registering a marriage, entering into contracts with foreign companies, participating in court proceedings, and other actions related to international and government structures. It is important that the translation is not only accurate, but also designed in accordance with legal norms, since even minor deviations can affect the legitimacy of the document.

Such a transfer is performed by a certified specialist and then certified by a notary, which makes the document officially recognized.
